Day 3 : Baby-Devendra Banhart
Two truths and a lie. One: Last night I fell asleep on the floor in my living room watching the charming Disney movie The Aristocats while attempting to make sleep conversation with six good friends. Two: I have somehow found it in my heart to forgive Brendan Fraser and Nicholas Cage for making terrible movies and spoiling the good name of Hollywood and all those involved in the movie business. Three: I am currently sitting on my couch, pantsless, wearing a paper Burger King crown and smiling like a jackass.
Today feels like a big day. Actually today feels like a day that could be big. Big potential day. One of my arms is noticeably darker than the other which I rather like. I also like that there is a cranberry muffin loaf on my counter that looks like it was attacked by a pack of angry dogs. Mom, I like the creative license you took when you put that cranberry muffin mix in a bread pan instead of in a muffin tin. I don't think I would have felt comfortable doing that but I'm glad you did. I'm also pretty glad that none of us thought it necessary to use a knife on that thing. It certainly has a lot of character right now and it is delicious.
Tomorrow is move out-move in day. With the help of a Defensive Tackle and a fellow wizard I think it should go pretty smoothly. I'm not worried about it-- I'm not going to worry about it, I'm not worried about it.
I've decided that it's going to be a pretty good summer. Class starts on the 7th at 8:00am. I'm not super jazzed about the prospect of waking up at 7:00am Monday through Friday but I've always said that sleep is for the weak and we all know that I'm one of the strongest humans on earth.

Day 2 : Roxanne-The Police
Well kids it's really summer. For those of you living in homes with air conditioning may you never know the misery that is sleeping in Ellingson 409 at this time of the year when one's sanity is inevitably contingent on the unremitting rotation of 3 small plastic blades. In addition to the heat there is yet another uncomfortable presence in my dorm. Alumni graduates dating back from the 40s to the late 70s have descended on St. Olaf campus. My fellow freshman's room's which have been emptied and cleaned are now visited by 80 year old men and women with their suitcases and bedding. I walk by friends rooms and see through open doors; ancient Timothy Towns and his wife folding clothes and old Sarah Jessup carefully getting ready for the next big reunion activity. I want to say 'You don't belong here, that's my friend's room. Don't you see how wrong this is that you and your wife are having a sensible evening where we threw shit down mere weeks ago?,' but I don't. I don't smile and wave at them either like the poster in 3North encouraged me to. I really don't like them here. I don't like brushing my teeth next to Grandma Johnson or getting lectured by Mrs. Franny to leave the lights on while she's taking a shower. Really, Franny? You really think I'm going to turn the lights off in the bathroom while you're obviously taking a shower? Maybe I just don't like the elderly. That's entirely possible. I've considered it before. Maybe I just don't want to feel like I'm living at a nursing home at age 19.
I got a new phone today. Never speak ill of the kind and generous men at the Apple Genius Bar. What should have been a most unfortunate deduction of $199 from Calebot's life savings account ended up being a 'get-out-of-paying-for-water-damage' free card. Needless to say I was very grateful/borderline over-appreciative.
Tonight it's all about B-dubs. For those of you who are unfamiliar, B-dubs is Buffalo Wild Wings the popular sports bar and chicken wing restaurant. The last time I went with my family to this restaurant we unwillingly experienced Cameron's enthusiastic investigation of how loud one can make orgasm noises without being asked to leave. I have high expectations for tonight's visit.
Song of the Day : Roxanne by The Police. Hope you enjoy this classic as much as I do.

Day 1 : Up Up & Away-Kid Cudi
Today I start my summer blog. It is nearly 2 o'clock in the afternoon and the temperature in my room is prime. I think it important to mention that my cell phone died tragically the night before last in what can only be explained as a freak water bottle paroxysm. Revival was attempted but it soon became clear that the water damage was too severe. After hours of faded screen displays and erratic vibrations the phone lay quite still and blank. Our only consolation is that it is now in a better place. Actually, the place that it is, is on my coffee table.
I have a number of tasks that I should definitely do today including laundry and packing. I am running dangerously low on clean underwear and my laundry bag is very full. I still don't know how I am going to go about moving. In view of the fact that I am moving to a room approximately 50 feet south and 6 floors up from my current room I've considered moving items one by one. But this seems inefficient. I have until Tuesday to come up with a dynamic plan. I am also very open to suggestions. It might be more or less appropriate to say 'I can haz sujez shuns' depending on the audience.
Alright, I'm done for now. Check out the song of the Day, Up Up & Away.
